The beta client's Rogue spellbook (build 70170) has 40 spells in 121 ranks across Assassination (43), Combat (38), Subtlety (19) and Poisons (21), every spell with the level it is first trained at, listed below. 10 of them come with a talent instead of a trainer: Adrenaline Rush, Blade Flurry, Cold Blood, Ghostly Strike, Hemorrhage, Mutilate, Premeditation, Preparation, Riposte and Venom. New Rogue abilities 3

  • MutilateNew talent, Assassination row 5: both weapons at 75% each, 20% more on poisoned targets, 2 combo points. Remorseless Attacks, Lethality, Cold Blood, Puncturing Wounds and Opportunity name it. Learned at level 30, ranks to level 60.
  • VenomNew finisher at the bottom of Assassination. Your poisons do 30% more and apply 10% more often, longer per combo point. Learned at level 40 (beta client tooltip, build 70170).
  • Thousand CutsNew Subtlety capstone. Each Rupture tick takes 3 Energy off your next Hemorrhage or Backstab, stacking to 5.

  • GougeLevel 6. Classic, Rank 1: Causes 10 damage, incapacitating the opponent for 4 sec, and turns off your attack. Now, Rank 1: Causes 10 damage, stops your attack, and incapacitates the target for 4 sec.
  • SapLevel 10. Classic, Rank 1: Must be stealthed. Now, Rank 1: Only works on Humanoids that are not in combat.
  • Ghostly StrikeLevel 20. Classic: A strike that deals 125% weapon damage and increases your chance to dodge by 15% for 7 sec. Now: A strike that deals 125% (180% if a Dagger is equipped in your Main Hand) weapon damage and increases your chance to dodge by 15% for 7 sec.
  • DistractLevel 22. Classic: Throws a distraction, attracting the attention of all nearby monsters for 10 seconds. Now: Throws a distraction, attracting the attention of all nearby enemies and reducing their Stealth detection as if they were 1 level lower for 10 seconds.
  • Cold BloodLevel 25. Classic: When activated, increases the critical strike chance of your next Sinister Strike, Backstab, Ambush, or Eviscerate by 100%. Now: When activated, increases the critical strike chance of your next Sinister Strike, Backstab, Ambush, Eviscerate, or Mutilate by 100%.
  • PremeditationLevel 25. Classic: When used, adds 2 combo points to your target. Now: Adds 2 Combo Points to your target.
  • Blade FlurryLevel 30. Classic: Increases your attack speed by 20%. Now: Increases your melee attack speed by 20% and your melee attacks strike an additional nearby opponent.
  • HemorrhageLevel 30. Classic: An instant strike that damages the opponent and causes the target to hemorrhage, increasing any Physical damage dealt to the target by up to 3. Now: An instant strike that deals 100% weapon damage (145% if a Dagger is equipped) and causes the target to take 15% increased Rupture damage from the Rogue.
  • Wound PoisonLevel 32. Classic, Rank 1: Each strike has a 30% chance of poisoning the enemy, reducing all healing effects used on them by 55 for 15 sec. Now, Rank 1: Each strike has a 30% chance of poisoning the enemy, reducing all healing effects used on them by 67 for 15 sec.

  • EnergyComes back 1 point every 0.1 sec, 10 a second: Classic's rate with no tick to wait for. From the Energy tooltip and Blizzard's Class Highlights video (3:41).
  • AxesRogues can use one-handed axes now. The Hack and Slash talent lists Axe/Sword as a weapon group. At 5/5 Hack and Slash, Axe/Sword: your successful melee attacks have a 5% chance to trigger an extra attack on the target.

Only works on Humanoids that are not in combat. Any damage taken will break the effect. Only 1 target may be sapped at a time. Does not break Stealth. Was: Incapacitates the target for up to 45 sec.   • Instant PoisonChanged, numbers. Learned at level 20, ranks to 60. Now (rank 6): 3 sec cast, Reagents: Dust of Deterioration x4, Crystal Vial, Makes: Instant Poison VI. Coats a weapon with poison that lasts for 30 minutes. Each strike has a 20% chance of poisoning the enemy which instantly inflicts 76 to 100 Nature damage. 175 charges. Was: Coats a weapon with poison that lasts for 30 minutes. Each strike has a 20% chance of poisoning the enemy which instantly inflicts 112 to 148 Nature damage. 115 charges. The beta's own tooltip reads 1,800 charges here. That is the 30 minute duration in seconds, a slip in the game's text; the recipe's data says 130. (beta client 1.60.1.70170)
  • Mind-numbing PoisonChanged, numbers. Learned at level 24, ranks to 52. Now (rank 3): 3 sec cast, Reagents: Dust of Deterioration x2, Essence of Agony x2, Crystal Vial, Makes: Mind-numbing Poison III. Coats a weapon with poison that lasts for 30 minutes. Each strike has a 20% chance of poisoning the enemy, increasing their casting time by 60% for 14 sec. 150 charges. Was: Coats a weapon with poison that lasts for 30 minutes.
