What happens to a build link when a talent moves
A build link keeps each point on its talent, by name, wherever a later build moves that talent. A point that sits behind a row the build no longer opens, behind an arrow it no longer meets, or on a talent that is gone comes back to be placed again: a card above the trees says which talents and why, names the beta build that did it, and Fill it in for me puts the points back where today's rules allow. A saved build stays as you saved it and settles only on screen when you open it. When a beta build moves, adds, removes or renames one of a class's talents or changes what one needs first, that class's popular list starts counting again from the day after that build and shows once 1,000 builds with 41 or more points are made on the new trees.
Questions
- When does WoW Forever launch?
- 4 November 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST, one global launch (Blizzard's posts). The beta opened on 17 September 2026 and ended on 23 October 2026.
- What is the max level in WoW Forever?
- The beta ended at its level 30 cap (Blizzard's notes for build 70170). The talent trees count to level 60: points come one a level from level 10, and the beta client's Talented perk says no character may have more than 51, which is the calculator's 51 at level 60. None of Blizzard's posts the site cites gives another launch cap.
- Will WoW Forever talents change before launch?
- They can. Since the first beta client (build 69876, 16 Sep 2026) the tracker holds 15 builds and 2 rounds of server hotfixes, and 6 of them changed talents, the latest the server hotfixes to build 70425 on 20 Oct 2026 (Mage). The beta ended on 23 October 2026.
- Will my beta builds work at launch?
- A beta build link opens in the calculator the way every link has opened through the beta's changes: each point stays on its talent, by name, and a point today's trees no longer allow comes back to be placed again, with a card that says which talents and why. Beta characters stop at level 30, so a level 60 plan stays a plan until launch.
- Will my PC run WoW Forever at launch?
- Blizzard's minimum is a 4 core 3.0 GHz processor, a DirectX 12 graphics card with 4 GB (a GeForce GTX 10 series or newer), 8 GB of memory and an SSD with 128 GB free. The recommended spec is 8 performance cores with a 5.2 GHz boost, an 8 GB card from the RTX 40 series on and 16 GB of memory. A one-minute check rates your own PC against both. WoW Forever PC requirements.
- Are WoW Forever talents final?
- No source the site cites says so, and the server hotfixes to build 70425 on 20 Oct 2026 still changed Mage talents. Each class's changes page follows every build until launch on 4 November 2026.
